This week I was looking at my owl hot water bottle covers
and it occurred to me that they would also make really good cushion covers
too. I had to experiment a bit with
different colours for them, as you can see I tried quite a few! In the end I
managed to mix some colours I liked and printed some test covers. I had to air dry them for a couple of days,
not helped by the wet weather which decided to come over just as I started to
do this! I still have to put them
together but I’ll keep you posted, so you’ll be able to see how I get on.
Stage three of the Tour de France started in Cambridge today and we went down to see them cycle past. We had to wait around for quite a while for the riders, so it was lucky that the weather was beautiful. There was a great atmosphere in the crowd too, high fives from the British motorcycle police and even a smile from the French Gendarmes. Being near the start all the riders were still together and passed us in about 30 seconds; luckily I wasn't trying to match the bikes up to my anatomy of a bike print! I did like all the different colours the riders wore and they were a grand sight as the sped past us. Well worth the wait.
